Brazilian Zouk Fundamentals
This is where everyone starts, including people who have danced for years.
Fundamentals cover what the rest of zouk is built on. Weight transfer, the basic step, leading and following through the frame, and the head and body movement that zouk is known for.
We run it on a week-long cycle. Each cycle covers basic steps, musicality, and fundamentals. You can join at any point in the cycle. Nothing in week three assumes you were there in week one.
You do not need a partner. We rotate through the room, so you will dance with everyone. If you would rather not rotate, tell us before class, and that is fine.
Every Tuesday, 7:30 - 8:30 pm. HK$150 drop-in. HK$480 (4 class pack)

Passes are valid for 8 weeks. We take PayMe or FPS. Details for payment when you book.
We don't take online payments yet. Send us a message to reserve a spot, and we will sort the rest out at the door.
Practica
Practice is where the class sinks in. Every Tuesday, straight after Fundamentals.
Mini practica · 8:30 - 9:00 pm · Included with Fundamentals class
Thirty minutes to go over what you just learned while it's still fresh.
Evening practica · 9:00 - 11:30 pm · HK$80
A longer, relaxed session to practise at your own pace and dance with different partners. By invite only. It's for seasoned zouk dancers, and for anyone who has taken our Fundamentals classes or a private practica. Ask your instructor if you'd like to join.
Workshops and guest instructors
We bring in guest instructors throughout the year and run occasional deep-dive workshops on a single topic.

Guest floor nights
When visiting artists come through Hong Kong, they join our social. It's a chance to dance with some of the highest-level Brazilian Zouk dancers in the world, right here in Wan Chai. For our students, by invite. HK$100 to HK$120, depending on the night. We'll share the details with your invite.
Private lessons and practica
Useful if you want to work on something specific, if you are preparing for an event, or if group classes are not your thing. Available with Abigail & Ling.
Can't make Tuesdays? Book a private practica. Go over Fundamentals at your own pace, take extra time where you need it, or speed through what you already know. One-on-one, semi-private, or with a small group of friends.
HK$400 per hour for one person. HK$600 for a couple. Studio fee HK$100. Ask us about small groups.
Before your first class
Wear something you can move in. Leggings, joggers, a T-shirt. Nothing that restricts your arms or your waist.
Shoes should let you turn. Trainers with grippy soles catch on the floor and are hard on your knees. Socks, dance shoes, or smooth-soled trainers all work. If you are not sure, bring socks.
Bring water.
Please arrive 10 minutes early for your first class so we can say hello properly and answer any questions you might have.
Finding us.
We are centrally located in the heart of Wanchai on Johnston Road and Landale Street. Depending on where you are coming from, you can exit from the Wanchai or Admiralty MTR station.
We are also just around the corner from a tram stop.
Once you've booked the studio, we will provide instructions on how to enter the studio.
One more thing.
We ask everyone in the room to read our code of conduct before their first class.
